SELOUS MBEGA CAMP
This PRICE LIST is
valid for both camps, the SELOUS MBEGA CAMP Main Camp on the Rufiji River near the Eastern Mtemere Gate to the Selous Game Reserve and the Selous Mbega Camp KISAKI ANNEX near the North-western Matambwe Gate to the
Selous Game Reserve.

Valid from the 01st of April 2013 until the 31st of March 2014
FULL BOARD ACCOMMODATION
Double Occupancy US $ 100 per night, per person.
Single Occupancy US $ 140 per night, per person.
For children under 4 years free, 4 to 12 years pay half price on accommodation only.
SAFARIS
GAME DRIVE (Half Day):- US $ 40 per person minimum 3 persons in the vehicle.
1 or 2 persons in the vehicle US $ 120 per vehicle.
Game Drives are conducted inside of the Selous Game Reserve and thus involve Park Fees US $
50 and Conservation Fees US $ 15 per person per 24 hours.
Just as reference:
Morning drive:- Start 08:00 back at 12:00 approximately 4 hours. (TIP: BEST OF THE HALF DAY)
Afternoon drive:- Start 15:30 back at 18:30 approximately 3 hours.
GAME DRIVE (Full Day):- US $ 80 per person minimum 3 persons in the vehicle.
1 or 2 persons in the vehicle US $ 240 per vehicle.
Game Drives are conducted inside of the Selous Game Reserve and thus involve Park Fees US $
50 and Conservation Fees US $ 15 per person per 24 hours.
Just as a reference:
Start 08:00 back at 16:00 approximately 8 hours. (TIP: BEST CHOICE FOR GAME DRIVE)
If you are doing a Full day Game Drive from the Selous Mbega Camp KISAKI ANNEX we
suggest you visit the Selous Grave and the Hot Springs.
BOAT SAFARI (Half Day):- US $ 40 per person minimum 3 persons on the boat.
1 or 2 persons on the boat US $ 120 per boat.
These boat safaris are conducted outside of the Selous Game Reserve thus there are no Park
Fees to be paid.
ONLY POSSIBLE AT THE SELOUS MBEGA CAMP MAIN CAMP ON THE RUFIJI RIVER.
Just as a reference:
Morning drive:- Start 08:00 back at 12:00 approximately 4 hours.
Afternoon drive:- Start 16:00 back at 18:30 approximately 2.5 hours. (TIP: BEST CHOICE FOR BOAT SAFARI DUE TO SUN DOWN)
WALKING SAFARI (Half Day) inside of the Selous Game Reserve:- US $ 40 per person minimum 3 persons, maximum 8 persons per walking group.
This Walking Safari is conducted inside of the Selous Game Reserve and thus involve Park Fees
US $ 50 and Conservation Fees US $ 15 per person per 24 hours.
Note the safari includes also the hiring of a Selous Game Reserve Game Scout.
Just as a reference:
From the Mtemere Gate inside the Selous Game Reserve out over the border back to the Selous Mbega Camp.
Start 06:00 back at 9:00 or 10:00 approximately 3 to 4 hours.
Afternoon is generally to hot for a walking safari. A good combination of a Morning Walking
Safari is an afternoon Game Drive in order to maximise the Park Fees.
THE FOLLOWING SAFARIS ARE USUALLY NOT INCLUDED WITHIN THE PACKAGE PRICES;
AND CAN BE DONE AS AN EXTRA ACTIVITY AND WILL BE CHARGED EXTRA AS WELL.
WALKING SAFARI (Half Day) outside of the Selous Game
Reserve:- US $ 15 per person minimum 2 persons, maximum 8 persons per walking group.
FISHING:- US $ 240 per boat per 3 hours maximum 6 persons. Bait can be provided
from the kitchen. Not included is the fishing gear, please bring your own.
Note all fishing is outside of the Selous Game Reserve no park fees apply.
ONLY POSSIBLE AT THE SELOUS MBEGA CAMP MAIN CAMP ON THE RUFIJI RIVER.
VILLAGE TOUR:- US $ 15 per person minimum 2 persons. Visit the local village
Mloka near the camp. The guide with you will inform you where and when you may take pictures out of respect to the villagers.
AIRPORT CHARGE:- Also the game department has put a new airport or airstrip charge for any
guests landing at the Mtemere Airstrip (or any other airstrip within the Selous). It is $ 5 per person, we will have to charge this extra to any fly- in guests staying at our camp if no proof
can be provided, that this fee has already been paid.
PACKAGES
All packages are inclusive of: Full board Accommodation, Safaris, Game Drives, Walking Safari
inside of the Selous Game Reserve shared vehicles, Park & Conservation Fees, Transfers.
Exclusive of: Transport to & from Selous Mbega Camp/ Selous Game Reserve. Village Tour,
Fishing, Walking Safari outside of the Selous Game Reserve have to be paid extra.
Please note on the day of arrival and the day of departure there are no Safaris included within
the package prices. If you however wish to do any safaris on the day of arrival or departure they will have to be charged extra.
Also if you wish to book any safari vehicles privately (for example less than 3 persons per
vehicle) we suggest you contact us for that as our package prices only include shared transport.
